From PDF to XRechnung in two steps
Step 1 reads the invoice: seller, buyer, VAT IDs, number, dates, every line with quantity, price and VAT rate, IBAN. Text PDFs are read directly, scans and photos go through OCR. Arithmetic, IBAN checksum and VAT-ID format are checked.
Step 2 builds XRechnung 3.0 in UBL: line amounts and VAT by rate are recomputed from the lines, then the file is validated with the same KoSIT and EN 16931 rules as the validator.
XRechnung needs fields a PDF often lacks: seller contact phone and email, buyer electronic address, buyer reference. You fill them in the form between the steps; nothing is invented.
